Apparently the musou had some shit, but I don't like musous so I will never know.

But really I liked the subversive dynamic Claude potentially had there. It felt like he should have outsmarted Edel and Dimitri for some reason. Edel and Dimitri were far more driven by emotion. Claude seemed driven by cunning, but wasn't really elaborated with that much. This was the problem with social shit in 3H, it didn't go enough into the backgrounds of characters and just gave you a few snippets. But I did like the idea of choosing sides. I just wish you could undermine people more in the game at the same time. Backstab them.

And the non-main maps kinda sucked. Far too few.
What's funny though is that instead of talking about Engage, people talked more about 3 Houses in threads and elsewhere on the internet. It wasn't fleshed properly at all, but it had enough to allow this sort of stewing in the fanbase, which is curious.

It needs to be less cliche anime though and more grit though. I don't like the screenshots, they worry me.

It's very unpolished and unfinished and has persona tier interactions that weren't really fleshed that well. I can see the hate for it.
But then it attempted something of such a scale and that drew me in to begin with. It's kinda mad it exists. FE Engage is safe, a tried and tested formula. FE 3 Houses is probably near impossible to do with indie corps so I was curious that something AAA was attempting something so drastically different to it's formula. It's not quite Oblivion, but compared to older FE, it seems to have some of that magnitude with production for the size of the production team. All the different voices, animations and shit.
