Nintendo never made anything as bad as the Virtual Boy.
Say what you will about the Wii U, at least you could play its games without a headache.

I played a few of the games on the virtual boy VR emulator, they aren't even worth the price of the cardboard. Also, the 3rd party emulator has a color feature that makes the games looks much better. They'll probably just be red eye sores on the Nintendo Online app.

Forgot to mention the color version is from the 3DS emulator, not VR. So the best way to play these games in 3D is on a homebrew 3DS.

They should just take Virtual Boy Wario Land and give it normal colors and put it on the eShop or in some kind of Wario Land collection, it's the only thing of value for the console.

I wish there was a way to get color on real hardware. The red and black graphics don't look totally terrible on the real system since the depth used in a lot of games looks nice, maybe even nicer than some 3DS games. But, I'm sure most people would probably choose good colors over 3D and I totally get it.

Jack Bros is cool, so is Teleroboxer. I also think Red Alarm is a game that should be shitty but I was surprised how fun it was. You'd think looking at 2D footage of it on youtube that it'd be a cluttered mess but the game has some good visual choices like loading in enemies before terrain, or representing things like waterfalls or seaweed with only a small amount of lines so that they don't get in the way. Shame the enemies don't look as neat as they do in the manual but it's wireframe stuff so that's expected.

Retroarch kept refusing to save my button configurations years ago, and everytime I forced myself to rebind the whole shit. Multiply it by a literal Everest of old consoles. Result: I'm still using standalones. PS3 version of Retroarch is okayish, Android version sucks donkey cocks, and I don't know if they fixed it

I remember having issues with that too on Android. Haven't had those issues in a long time though. I prefer standalones for old PCs, noticed some weird pitches in Dragon Slayer on PC88 after a friend pointed it out to me, and even logic felt different. Still use Retroarch for consoles though, they seem mostly fine at this point. Only issue I've had was Grandia on Saturn crashing when changing discs and then erasing my save file, idk what the fuck caused that.

A real testament to just how greedy modern Nintendo is, they're even trying to milk money off of their worst system, the one that is both uncomfortable to use and legitmately causes eye damage because of the black and red.

Not like you care, but here's the rundown:
The game plays it off as a joke, Lucas isn't getting raped, he's not even interacting with the guy.
His psychic powers just happened to be awakened a few moments before getting into the Japanese hot spring.
Every time Lucas gets a new ability, he gets a fever. The first time this happens, the player first instinct is to get into the hot spring to heal it.
Japanese hot springs act as healing spots in the game. Think bonfires in Dark Souls.

So, the setup for the joke is that the player has to heal in order to progress, but the only immediate available place is that hot spring with a creepy guy in there.

Now, there's some magical fairy characters in the game that help the main characters, but instead of being some conventionally beautiful beings, they are some ridiculously ugly drag queens, both for comedy and subversion.

Everything surrounding the Magypsies is a tranny joke, that's the real reason that game is never ever getting localized. It would cause an outrage in the west with its depiction of trannies.

TL;DR: Japanese transphobic humor.
