How do you feel about Hornet's characterization? It wasn't what I was expecting but she's pretty great.

I got the heretic key and was able to open some keylocks in the slab eventually finding a mask piece and some lore
Im missing a tunnel (above the right bench) its entrance is covered by garbage and rubble so i assume its actually an exit point breakable from the other side and the fact that i can see it is a bug.
Can you please tell me if i missed a pathway or something here in the slab that would lead me there? or if its for later?

No one thing specifically, but the entire act is such a drag. I already know I missed some fights in act 2 which sucks, the entire void shit is really bland and boring, every normal enemy turned into a health sponge and I'm just going through old areas with a grey filter. Even the abyss was disappointing as hell (though the escape sequence was cool). It feels like such a letdown after the amazing adventure that was act 2. Somewhere along the line I just lost my enjoyment and can't seem to get it back.

Already 100% the game days ago but i have to agree with some people who complain about contact damage. I don't hate contact damage per se, but you losing the same amount of HP whether the boss is stunned and you walk into it or you are hit when he is charging towards you is indeed bullshit. I would rather you losing 1 HP for the former and 3 HP for the latter than losing 2 HP for both.

Pale beings are immortal; they cannot die, only change form.
The reason why Hornet can "absorb" GMS is because her existence (partially) came from her.
When she absorbs GMS, they effectively become one being, with GMS being the "winner" as signified by the change in UI and Hornet's body taking GMS' shape.
The only option to remove GMS entirely is to use void, as void is inexistence itself.

Funny thing, I remember poison cogflies being super strong in act 2 when I was just running around old areas and looking for secrets, but in act 3 they feel much weaker. Not sure if it was always the case or if it was the patch that nerfed them. I tried to burst down Karmelita with tools just for the kek of it (poison cogflies, tacks and wheels) but even that didn't work and I just ran out of tools. If I actually could cheese every fight with architect I would at this point but I haven't been using tools for the entire game so I'm really bad at it, I just focus on throwing out all my tools and not using the nail at all.

This is amazing, I can't believe I slept on this crest for so long. The longer I play the more I'm seeing that the difficulty is designed around abusing some absolutely busted fucking combos. I've yet to try out Architect + Plasmium but people are singing the praises of that one too, and of course you've also got basic tool combos like Poison Cogflies or Poison Tacks for early game that trivialize a lot of boss fights.

What are some other crest/charm synergies you guys have discovered?

The biggest hurdle to 100% quickly is all of the shit you need to do to enter act 3 since once you're in the act you'll have all the movement abilities to fully clean up every area. It took me about 12 hours to get into act 3 and I'm fairly certain I cleaned up everything I could at the time. 18 hours to do the remaining bosses and exploration seems like plenty of time.

Yeah Im definitely feeling that myself. Pharloom doesn't feel like it was ever an actual world. Hallownest atleast felt like a centralized city with weird little outer districts, Pharloom is explicilty a number of way stations to the grand cathedral which is just too automated to actually seem like a place anyone ever lived in, even with the transit system.

I feel bad, I beat the boss in bilewater last night by cheesing it by sitting in the water in the corner hanging on the wall and jumping off to smack him in the face when he breathed in and throwing tools at him. Also, that runback. Holy fucking shit it is the absolute worst part, almost worse than the boss.

I'm not happy about it, but I spent over 3 hours trying to fight him the "right way" to no avail, I would always make a mistake and end up in the water anyways and not have the ability to heal up and would get hit for 2 masks multiple times and die, over and over and over again.

I'm not sorry for cheesing, Cherry made it the most insufferable boss in the game (so far).

Now I'm on the boss at in the prison, whatever it's called the one that was locked away and it's filtering me hard too. I'm almost 40 years old and don't have the reflexes I had when I was younger and this motherfucker (first sinner) moves around like a spastic autistic sperg and I can barely catch up to the bitch just to get one hit in before he's teleporting around the map like crazy fucking me up.

Feels like every boss is a roadblock to me. I keep on persevering and eventually getting moved on, but exploring each area is so much more fun than this.

I'm playing on Switch2 using the high framerate mode but a game like this full on crashing, on a console no less, is not something I expected. Nah. In 90% of cases you can fit in an extra attack after clawline, getting into positive silk. It's objectively the strongest tool, absolutely fucking broken.

silksong has a larger focus on momentum, bosses can delete you within seconds however you playing well can also heal up the damage within seconds, and silk skills are far more spammable which means you can delete the bosses in seconds with back to back cross stitches and thread storms

with clawline you're still at a silk deficit when directly compared to just having good spacing and landing two regular attacks vs clawlining and getting regular one attack off afterwards, the former gives you more silk to work with. clawline is moreso a crutch than anything when you don't initially know the enemy attack patterns and movement
