There's something I've despised about WNSD since it first premiered. Maybe it's the bright plastic digital art style that took away whatever sense of atmosphere the original had, maybe it's the inclusion of 00s era bands making it feel incredibly uncanny (I hated the sound of bands like Simple Plan and sum41 back then, sounded like whiny teenage boy rock, perfect for teenage girls), or maybe it's the years of generic direct to home video movies feeling incredibly cheap.
But the classic 60s/70s Scooby-Doos are great.
The 90s movies are fantastic, there's a lot of good 90s Scooby-Doo content.
The direct to video movies from the 70s to 90s like Boo Brothers and Ghoul School are good.
Even a Pup Named Scooby-Doo has a charm about it.
The Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby-Doo is a classic.
Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue, despite being so different to everything that came before it, is entertaining
Mystery Inc. is genuinely good.
But fuck WNSB.
