For all the shit Game of Thrones rightfully got, the casting and worldbuilding is something they did absolutely right. Every place in the world stuck to casting extras and main characters that actually look like they're from there. Pale northerners, more tanned southerners, med/hispanic looking Dornish, arabs and africans for the desert nations, etc. This kind of specific regional casting makes your world feel so much more "diverse", real, and alive than this complete racial mishmash they keep doing with more modern shows.
