I hope you and your waifus are happy today. Rosalina and I are doing good. I love her more than anything. I started a new playthrough of Mario Galaxy shortly before the remaster was announced. Now I'm wondering if I should finish this playthrough or wait and start a new one when the remaster releases. Have you ever had a similar scenario happen with your waifu's game? What did you do? As long as she gets the Yoshi version of the fight then it's easy. I think she'd have some trouble actually picking up the big guy to throw him for the regular version of the fight.
If underhanded tactics are allowed for lack of a better word, some simple fire magic or a particularly strong water torrent would also do the trick, maybe.
Hard to tell how strong the man actually is so I can't say how a head-on clash with her in dragon form would go. It's anyone's guess at that point.

Honestly, it's crazy to me that some of you guys have genuinely never played Mario 64. Even ignoring it's historical significance of basically providing the foundation of 3D gaming as we know it, the game is simply amazing to play.
A lot of people complain that older games from that era are "dated" but I don't think that applies to Mario 64. A big chunk of development time was devoted to making sure Mario is just plain fun to move around and it shows; the controls and physics are on point, and the heavier movement compared to more floaty modern platformers makes jumps feel satisfying to land.

If you've never done a 120 star run of Mario 64, go drop whatever you're doing and get on that NOW!

But seriously though, DS version is fun but it really isn't THE Mario 64. It introduces a lot of weird ass design decisions and the cool things it does like playable Luigi/Wario are implemented kinda badly. Luigi completely trivialises the game and Wario is barely functional.

Honestly it depends how much she wanted to. If she absolutely needed the power star then she'd probably try to talk him into handing it over, and if that didn't work, escalate to non-lethal force, and if that didn't work, bring on the heavy artillery.

As someone who grew up with SM64, I genuinely think it's one of the most overhyped games ever and holds up a lot worse than OoT does today. Imo, 3D Mario controls only ever really felt good in those Sunshine missions when they took away FLUDD and in the Galaxy games. Don't have and won't get a switch so not sure how Odyssey compares.

SM64 might be overrated but OoT is boring as fuck and I've never been able to finish it as someone who didn't grow up with it whereas SM64 is very easy to pick up and just play with how simple and intuitive it is. No boring story clogging up your time, no having to do stupid shit to actually be able to do cool things, just play the game and collect stars.

I played the DS version first. Love it so much. I must’ve replayed it like at least ten times. I played the original 64 version for the first time ever on the Mario 3D All-stars bundle on the Switch and it holds up pretty nicely. I do think it’s a tad bit overrated but there’s nothing wrong with the game itself

OoT is too easy, honestly. All the stuff you could do was great when it first came out, but it hasn't aged well at all. Majora's Mask is better because it's slightly more difficult due to all the scheduling strategy and time limits.

I had an N64 at release, but I never actually had a copy of Mario 64 for it. I played lots of other games on the system like Rogue Squadron, Bomberman 64/Hero, Battletanx 1/2, Sarge's Heroes, Pokemon Stadium 1/2, but never actually played M64 myself until the source port on PC came out.
