If it's some brand new thing everyone and their dog is seeding on a public tracker I'll hit and run.

If it's private I'll seed for a month or two minimum, then leave it seeding after that until I get around to moving it to its dedicated drive.

If it's some obscure or hard to find thing with barely any seeders I'll leave it seed indefinitely, public or private.
I've got public JAVs nobody gave a shit about that took me literal years to finally download, and I have been seeding them back for several years now, until there's atleast 10 seeders. Even then I'll keep seeding until I get around to moving them to their dedicated drive.
