Yes, its the best Trails has ever been. It's the first starting point, it's loyal to the original, and it plays much better than all the other Trails games, and the graphics FINALLY aren't trash cause they learned how to fucking cell shade.

The localization is actually very loyal to the JP script, almost to a fault. It's the JP script itself that has changes but they are really minor and not really censored, the autists screeching are just Grifters.

This is your start into Trails. You can then play SC if you liked it or if you can wait 2nd Chapter is definitely coming next year so you can play Cold Steel 1 and 2 (They don't depend on earlier entries much at all) in the meantime, all these games are 100+ hours so unless you have no life you'll have those games alone keep you busy for months. And You won't get burned out as fast.

I am stuck on the Flying Feline+ Boss fight where you save the kids, on nightmare mode but I refuse to drop the difficulty or grind. (I haven't grinded any enemies, just killed anything on the path to the jade tower.)

Clock Up itself has very small delay so you can just have a character cast it twice in a row. Also there is an AoE version later on.
For early game I would recommend building your entire party to have the single target version. Other arts just aren't as important, aside from Earth Guard/Wall.

Clockup is entirely unnecessary early game because instead of building to speed yourself up one character at a time at the cost of EP you can abuse Flicker/Slyphwhip/Cancel arts/Delay to slow all enemies for CP instead. Same outcome but you're dealing damage, have no setup time and aren't spending relevant resources
