Claude is hands-off once the run starts because he's more of a practical test of the model's intelligence. He gets stuck on "AI difficult" puzzles. I have a more technical question about that actually, IIRC claude just gets presented single images, so when it steps on an arrow won't it just look like the MC teleported to a completely random place? Fairly sure you can even go so far that you're offscreen so the whole thing changes

the harness is actually worse than that. It not only gets a single image but it's presented a new image every X non-thinking/executing second making it impossible for Claude to actually ever know where it is and what its momentum is if movement happens outside its control. A sufficiently advanced model would realize this and would use the wait command frequently which I assume is the solution the dev is waiting for but I'm having some doubts on that considering the changes he's made to the harness since after III (specifically the 'hints')
