Why are the Ace Attorney fags in a state of constant butthurt about the Danganronpa popularity?

I like both thoughbeit it’s more people who only like traditional vns and think dangan and ace attorney aren’t visual novels because of the gameplay elements it adds

Ace Attorney fans are due a fucking win, the series is ten times the popularity of Danganronpa and yet we have been waiting since 2016 for the next game. A decade this time next year.

I don't give a fuck. Phoenix Wright is objectively a much more mainstream figure than any of the Z list Japs in Danganronpa. Odds are a random person on the street MAY be able to name Phoenix. You would NEVER find someone able to name a Danganronpa character outside of weeb circles. End of story.

Danganronpa is Spike Chunsoft's star series in terms of sales, so from their point of view, it makes sense for them to want to do more with it. Ace Attorney isn't for Capcom. Despite that, I do think a new Ace Attorney might happen at some point, with the recent collections and all.

It was rushed it had so many inconsistencies and dumbed down the like the first trial making the clock 2 hours behind instead of 12 hours, Edgeworth having the Steel Samurai he was gifted by Oldboy early and the King of Prosecutors trophy. At least the Dangan anime had the Nagito episode that saved the whole thing.

Who is in denial? Both series are old as dirt.
AA was probably more popular 10-15 years ago but not they are about equal.

Yes. I imagine it would be more popular than a game that hadn't come out yet.

I like both but I prefer Danganronpa's higher stakes and edgier characters.
Also, anyone who says AA is more grounded is lying. Spirit channeling and using the rope on a bridge as a giant pendulum is very over the top too.

I remember in AA I'd have times where I don't know where to investigate so I can get back into the courtroom. DR is nice to railroad things sometimes or lock you in a room until you look at all the important stuff.

Danganronpa is the perfect vehicle for fandom slop with its big rosters of (very cute) anime characters and all the effort put into presentation. Everyone should hate its popularity because it has little to do with the quality of the writing.

That would require such a massive rewrite to their characters that it wouldn't work as an alternate scenario based off of a slight difference in the first chapter/prologue. I'm not even talking about thinking of a way that they can be on the prosecutor and defense sides respectively, Edgeworth already decided he can't be a defense attorney like his father, and Phoenix based his whole career off of trying to meet Edgeworth in court.

The problem is that AA does have a very focused story so trying to throw out random ideas to make a new game is very difficult, especially when the idea involves fundamentally going against how a character was already written. I think GAA was good in that regard since it's still an AA game, but in a new setting with a completely new cast so they had the freedom to do what they wanted to tell the story. Trying to use existing characters limits what you can do.
To keep with the thread comparing AA to Danganronpa, Danganronpa's overarching story is not nearly as prominent as AA, and the strength of the game is the individual cases and how the cast develops as their numbers dwindle with each murder. Having an almost completely new cast each time lets you run wild with motives and scenarios that would lead to the murders. This is also part of the reason why I'm interested in 2x2 because I want to see what could convince the people that murder this time to do it.
