If that's the case, I'd recommend studying your own hands for a while, using photos of them for references and whatnot. Eventually you'll get good enough to draw some pretty decent hands on the fly, without even needing a reference.

If you want, you could always try tracing photos of your hands in whatever pose you need them in. Now, tracing is a bad thing if you do it with someone else's work to try and pass it off as your own, but tracing a photo of yourself or something for the sake of handling some difficult anatomy or geometry is fine.
Anyway, tracing your own hands can help you develop some experience with drawing hands properly, since eventually you'll build up a better idea of the general geometry of the hand as you do it, so I'd say it's worth doing when you're starting out.

Hm. I actually do have some advice on this which may or may not be helpful, but I'm not too sure how I can convey it without breaking out my tablet to make an example, which I can't do right now.
Basically, try and focus on the geometry of a person when you're drawing them. Literally, try assembling a person, or the rough figure of a person, out of basic 3D shapes. It's best to focus on the base, the foundations of a character before trying to add detail, since the details can always be added once you have the geometry and proportions done.
I think the only example I have on hand is this, from when I first learned how to draw muzzles by drawing a sort of parallelepiped attached to a sphere, which served as the foundation for the rest of the head. Don't worry about what the rest of that image is though.
Anyway, I hope that helps, but I understand if it sounds a bit obtuse.

I was only able to get that image out after advice in the previous thread, because I've been mentally getting stuck on what those basic building blocks should be which I think is probably dumb and just holding me back from putting something on the paper. I see people say to "break things down into smaller shapes" and I keep getting stuck on "ok what is the right shape this thing is supposed to break into" which is probably the wrong way to think about it since different people seem to build this stuff differently, I'm just getting stuck in that fallacy of not starting something because I'm scared to start it "wrong". That's understandable, fear of failure is a common problem for a lot of people, you'll get past it in time.
As for what shapes you should use, like you said, that does vary from person to person depending on how they like to go about things, but I think I have something that might help.
This image helped me get a decent grasp on the basic, simplified geometry of a person back when I first started studying art as a hobby. It's not tremendously detailed, but I think it gives a good idea of what things should be shaped in what ways, and how they exist relative to each other.
It's also a drawing of a Homestuck character I found while looking for NSFW of that character, but that's besides the point.
Anyway, once you're able to assemble the basic foundation of a person's form, adding the specific details of a character is pretty easy from there, so I doubt it'll be too long before you start making some really good stuff once you grasp it, you just need to get over this hurdle.

Martlet is a rehash of Papyrus with half the energy. Her humor is milquetoast and less zany overall.
Starlo is the most interesting conceptually, but he kind of acts like a dick early on and doesn't get enough screentime.
There's already a million complaints towards Ceroba so I'm not gonna retread old ground. In short, she's stupid, but on accident, so it's frustrating.
Axis is genuinely one of the only characters who's both unique and funny, but by the time you get to him it's simply too little too late.

NTA, but if Chujin had just publicly presented the soul to Asgore along with Axis, things could've gone way better for him. It would clearly display that He's a competent engineer in spite of his past failures, since it would show that he built a machine capable of killing a rampaging human that had gone almost entirely unopposed at that point, and that would be a pretty big deal at the time.
Asgore was so impressed with Mettaton in UT that he made Alphys the royal scientist as soon as he could, and granted, Alphys lied about what Mettaton actually was, saying it was a robot with a soul, but I feel like if Asgore is willing to rapidly promote someone over something like that, he might've been willing to grant Chujin some resources or helping hands if he was able to capture a human soul with his own creation.

you're simply wrong. I am very good at seperating the desire to fuck, from my opinions on things. the devs made a lot of missteps, fucked up in a lot of places but you can see a lot of the whole picture by comparing the characters across the routes. Martlet struck me as "discount papyrus" originally but adding in her behavior in genocide you get a lot more well rounded understanding of who she is as a character. I didn't care for her until that point when I started seeing the picture of the virtues vs the flaws.
starlo we have something really good in how he picked up the persona to do good and got lost in it, he's a dick early on and thats as a result of him getting lost in that persona.
also on ceroba, I've argued this before, but certain moments in steamworks, how she's short tempered, thinks shes fixing things when she's actually doing absolutely nothing, I think some of that stupidity is on purpose. I think they made her short sided with decision making tunnel vision, its just all the pieces around that are very messy since she got completely rewritten.

so yeah the devs definitely made a mess of things, but they left enough coherent pieces that I think the characters have a lot going for even with post nut clarity

Asgore did still want his people to be safe and protected, and he did still want their freedom, which is why he was still trying to find a way to break the barrier and secure his people's freedom. I feel like having a robot army wouldn't be something he'd be inherently opposed to, at least if Chujin wasn't acting like a bloodthirsty warmonger and planning on reenacting the ending to AC: Nexus.
In an alternate timeline where Chujin wasn't an idiot, I could see Axis variants being used as a sort of mechanical royal guard, a stalwart defense against human invaders deployed all throughout the underground.

I did have an idea to incorporate a mana system, but instead of doing it like TP in Deltarune, where its based on grazing, mine would be based on standing still. So your mana only regenerate while you're standing still. encouraging you to not move until the very last second. Maybe I could incorporate areas of the battle box that would increase the rate you gain mana.

On the subject of the mercy/fight system. I think it might be fun to keep just to use to mess with the player. Having the player get locked out of the good ending for sparing everyone would be an interesting twist I think.

She's just a nothing character. She has no wit, no charm, no humor, hell even her looks aren't much to gawk at (canonically).
And depending on which part of the game you're playing it's like she was written by three different people (lol). I'm getting mixed signals that portray her one way while showing her acting completely different later on.
For example, her introduction in the Wild East shows her as the calm, cool girl, who's the voice of reason and is always right. Then suddenly in the Steamworks she's a turbo-retard who can't even walk through a basic puzzle but expects you to do all the work. Also she trauma dumps her whole story to you midway like you're supposed to care.
By New Home, she's a straight up villain. But then the game still expects you to care when she's all "woe is me" with her transformations while she's ironically trying to kill a child. Multiple times, I remind you.
And of course, she does nothing to prevent Clover from killing himself at the end so she's just as complacent as the other two and has learned nothing.
I'd love to dig into my problems with Martlet/Starlo, but this post is getting too long so you can accept what I have to say about Ceroba.

1. hanging out with flowey after killing bosses is better than grave silence, so even murder routes ought to focus on different characters (say hi to dagda)
2. feeling like you're stuck and aren't allowed to make progress is annoying, so even if you can't make a "ignore everything and go straight to finale" route work, something like wild east should be an optional diversion and not a mandatory section
3. creating big branches for WHAT things happen is not as important as creating extra flavor for HOW things happen; the latter is way too expensive and complicated to manage, while the former is merely keeping track of player's (often limited) choices; i'd be much happier if i could mock ceroba in steamworks for being outsmarted by a kid, or if i could tell starlo and martlet that they truly don't get what humans are about
flavor also goes for something silly or interactive: how long you were solving puzzles, or how much money you spent on candy, how much damage you took in battle, etc.

You know, I've always been a little curious as to how the whole EXP and LV thing works when it comes to making your soul more powerful. Sans says you get EXP and LV when you hurt someone, but it isn't always specified as being related to *killing* specifically, even though you only ever get it in UT from killing.
What happens if I wash my hands in the UT universe? People wash their hands with the intent to kill germs, will I gain EXP if I wash my hands enough? What about indirect kills? If I throw a rock at someone and they proceed to stumble around and fall off a cliff, do I get the EXP for that kill, or was that circumstantial? What if I help kill someone/something with someone else, does the EXP get split between both of us, or does only one person get it?

HIs only failing was not realizing he needed to filter the murderous intent out of them before injecting people. If he had a giant skull machine to make soul serums instead of using his own body, it would have worked.

Kanako should have been removed entirely rather than kept as the narrative cocktease that she exists as. Well not exactly. Chujin got fucked up, because he kept trying to absorb the Integrity Soul, and she kept resisting and rejecting all his attempts for the better part of several years.
Kanako got injected with serum that Ceroba, like a complete dumbass thought was safe without even testing it first.
Martlet injected herself with pure Determination, and actually melted, but she was determined enough to reverse the effects and become Zenith, which is why it was said she'd be able to live on as Zenith without melting into mush, if she wasn't fighting Clover.
