My friends all have ADHD and they all do this shit.
I think the only time I do is when I can put the game on the side because it takes few inputs/have large periods without actions and I end up doing something else on the side, like Kenshi.
But even then it's pretty rare, good music really carry a game even hundreds of hours later.

Even when the tracklists got larger, they'd fill more than half of them with bullshit hip-hop and buttrock that even fans of the genres wouldn't admit listening to in public. I understand but disagree with your methods. "Gameplay" is barely relevant to how people actually perceive a game. For example, all it takes is nice visual elements like hit-stop and some hefty animations to suddenly make a melee-focused game not feel like shit. Gameplay is almost entirely perception through the lens of visual and audio feedback. A good soundtrack alone can elevate a 5/10 to an 8+/10 (Metal Gear Rising).
