nintendo prices
is /v/ okay with this? I'm tired of seeing people justify the Switch 2's price increase for games as a catching up to dev costs or inflation because it completely misses the point

The last Nintendo product I purchased was a N3DS and that was over a decade ago. I've had no desire to to get a Switch or Switch 2.

Yet you're fine with Indians existing. Curious.

Even if inflation didn't exist they could have just put all the games on a 3Ds cartridge and sell it for $30 instead. Rare Replay was 30 games for thirty bucks but Nintendo knows their paypiggies will buy anything.

This thread was made by an OoT fanboy and snoy named Eric. He's been spamming /v/ with anti-Nintendo pedaling for a good decade, he's a weekly villain in Famitsu threads and he reports them over and over for calling him out or for spreading facts he thinks needs to be hidden from /v/ (namely sales of Nintendo hardware and software compared to PlayStation and Steam)

If you see posts saying Sonic CrossWorlds is better than Mario Kart, World, it's Eric. If you see posts saying GameCube games are better than Switch games, it's Eric. If you see the same anti-Nintendo threads popping up over and over, it's Eric. If you see the same posts shilling piracy and emulators, it's Eric. If you see someone denying the existence of Eric and calling him a made-up boogeyman, it's Eric. If you see someone unironically using terms like "tendies" or "Switchfags" and making hyperbolic statements, it's Eric. If you see a red OP image with a Nintendo-related thing, asking some dumb open question, it's Eric. If you see the same repeated lines over and over again, it's Eric samefagging. If you see a massive wall of replies to one post, it's Eric samefagging himself, they'll all be a minute apart. He's always resetting his router and ban evading, and flooding the catalog.

He's also a massive GameCube fanboy that was so buckbroken by BotW's commercial and critical success that he's determined to make it the most despised game in history, he wants to change the narrative and erase the perceived damage against him

You can use that in like any "VR" optical holder so yeah I'm fine with it. I want the $100 Nintendo plastic though and I have a job so it's not a big deal. I missed out on Virtual Boy originally so this is the best way to check it out plus it will have Jack Bros.

In theory, higher prices should mean games should get better, but that never seems to happen with any company.
Allegedly the main reason Nintendo "had" to up the costs of the S2 games is because the carts are using the newest-of-new SD card tech for max transfer speeds, but then digital games, all ports, and game key cards still more than they should, so fuck that excuse.

All I know is I've completely disassociated from "modern" gaming regardless of price, playing DS games, indie games, and chinkhelds instead. (Plus a solid PC that could easily run Switch games, but I don't care enough about that to bother downloading emulator for it right now.)
Why SHOULD I buy new games? Why should I even interact with modern gaming at all?
Hell, for the cost of a single modern -$60- game you could buy a good PS1-tier chinkheld; two cheaper ones if you're not picky or you get them on sale, then you could play the entire SNES library, all the Gameboy systems, and all of PS1, plus whatever romhacks and patches you want.

It doesnt have to happen, they just need to convince the customer that it happens and shockingly many people fall for it.
