Except your interpretation, or at least your criticism, was founded on ignorance
>Did they ever explain why no one dies in this world?
Yes. A lot. Out of all the things they don't explain, this is the one thing they harp on the most. The way death functions, aka coming back as a ghost that can degrade into a fiend over time as their hatred builds, gets a massive amount of attention. Hell it even gets a name
>Tidus: She’ll make it? What, so she can die? Why is it…everything in Spira seems to revolve around people dying?
>Auron: Ahh, the spiral of death.
>Tidus: Huh?
>Auron: Summoners challenge the bringer of death, Sin, and die doing so. Guardians give their lives to protect their summoner. The fayth are the souls of the dead. Even the maesters of Yevon are unsent. Spira is full of death. Only Sin is reborn, and then only to bring more death. It is a cycle of death, spiraling endlessly.
So when you say some shit like "why does no one die," yes you're going to get talked at like you don't know what you're talking about seeing as how the majority of the plot revolves around deaths.
