Daytrading is gambling. It takes well over 1 million to retire in your 20s. If he's not fuck-you rich he's stressing like any laborer. Find a job with a 401k, meet the company match limit, and watch your wealth soar past his. You can make $1500 per two weeks at a desk job. No it's not the "feel", it's all of the potential risks that can ruin your plan if you don't have enough emergency funds. It's also the area you would live in. And when you do this, after you've done it for long enough you tank your job prospects so future income potential goes down too. I'd personally need more than 100k to be comfortable with the long term future.
