I have never been disappointed in a game. I actively avoid entire franchises and developers/publishers I know I won't like, like Asscreed, From Software, Borderlands, Bethesda, EA, all platformers and all "roguelites".

I loved X4, and when I heard some of the soundtrack after its Japanese launch I was even MORE excited.
And then the actual game arrived. Unskippable text interruptions every few seconds, sometimes scolding you for not choosing the right stage, IN A MEGA MAN GAME. Comparing pre-release excitement to actual release malaise, I've never been more disappointed in a game than that one.
