I had friends who all picked Yennefer and they are wrong

Went for Yen on my very first playthrough because I kept getting told she was the "canon" option and couldn't fucking stand her. On subsequent runs I always go for Triss. It also helps that Yennefer fans are all a bunch of obnoxious retards which made choosing Triss even easier.

Triss all day, Yen is a total cunt and even worse in the books. Triss used Geralt when he had amnesia sure, but only because she was in love. In the books Yen outright tries to get Geralt killed so she doesnt have to deal with his wish anymore.
Yen summoning that poor guy with necromancy and mindraping him whilst also destroying that sacred skelliger garden was absolutely evil and unnecessary, they could have just fucking asked the local villagers. At least that dead guy gets some closure as a hero and not a craven I guess. Still left a bad taste in my mouth the way Yen treated that whole situation. Meanwhile Triss is acting selflessly to save the mages in Novigrad.

Don't know if bait or not but usually the smarter Trissfags avoid to use the books as an example because Triss using Geralt's amnesia is very tame compared to what she did in the books. While Yennefer spends most of the story looking after/protecting Geralt and almost dies for it (twice)

If we're only using their portrayals in TW3, then for me personally it's clearly Triss. But Yennefer fits Geralt better, which is also made much more apparent, if you use the prior books and games to inform that decision, so for roleplaying purposes I'd have to go with her.
