Replayability+multiplayer+mods
Anonymous No.723659986 [Report] >>723660267 >>723660693
I literally cannot fathom caring about how many people are playing a single player game concurrently with me. It only matters for multiplayer games that are effectively dead if there aren't enough players. I could literally be the only person on the planet playing a single player game and it would not even cross my mind to check and confirm it.

Remember all the retards being obsessed with bg3 failing? Shazam tranny, that romanian vee guy on youtube with a screechy voice. And look how it ended, it's the most successful rpg ever created. Never seen anyone being this wrong. And it wasn't even hard to predict, dos games have been very good.

It's a good indicator of success. Game has good online - sequel is likely, bad online - studio closes. Look at todd, his studio still runs on skyrim money

Isn't BG3 botted? I thought it was well known at this point, no one ever discusses the game despite how many people are "playing" it

This. You play BG3 at least twice. 4-5 times if you're above 60 iq and can install mods. 6+ if there's gonna be custom campaigns (where the fuck are they? Didn't they get literal devkit?)

BG3 is primairily a co-op game.

I mean this genuinely: What exactly is it about BG3 that makes it special?

I played Divinity OS 1&2. It was fun, don't get me wrong. It's just incredible that they took that formula and found a way to make it so palatable to the masses. Like, bordering on incredulous.

I don't get it either. I love RPGs but I wasn't anywhere as over the moon with BG3 as everyone else seems to be. Yes it had noticeable effort put into it here and there but what do you expect from a game with 6-something years of independent development? I didn't really fall in love with the cast of characters, and I haven't replayed the game since release.

I think it's an incredibly rare case of high production quality + complex rpg. A lot of people wants to play a cool complex rpg that you can immerse yourself, but most people don't want to deal with all the negative stuff those games usually have, like boring repetitive combat with too much numbers and letters. Imagine if skyrim had more choices and deeper systems. Or if new vegas had fo4 graphics and engine. And coop really helps to boost any game numbers, instead of a single gamer you get a whole group.

To be quite frank with you, I do not care if a game is successful or not. It could bomb spectacularly and it would not affect me in the slightest. Literally all that matters is whether I personally enjoyed it.

Where's the replayability? You either be good or you be evil, and the game ends after the story is finished.

Every AAA studio decided at the same time that nobody wanted RPGs and they turned all big RPG series into action slop

So for over a decade there was a complete rpg drought for normalfags

BG3 is like the rain finally arriving for these people. A high production quality, well written, AAA story game with rpg mechanics, lots of replayability, branching and cutscenes.

It will be remembered forever. I bet it will have 100k players in the 2030s, or at least until larians next game comes out

Sure, but if arkanes Prey had good numbers we would be playing cool immersive sims right now. Sadly the genre is almost dead because numbers were so small.

Anon, Silksong sells very well on the Switch, I see no reason nor evidence for 'tendies' being behind any Silksong shitposting. Even ignoring that tendies are more a big tent group of like ten different fandoms that grudgingly tolerate each other, rather than one big distinct group. It'd be like saying fans of various sports are all one monogroup of sportsfags who like all sports ever.

I've seen gameplay from silksong and it looked pretty cool for a high skill flash game but I've never seen gameplay from bg3.

Can someone show me some cool amazing fun gameplay from bg3 so I can understand why it's a video game that's so special to some people?
