BF is one of those normalfag franchises that was never particularly good. COD is also mediocre but it at least has genuinely tight gunplay (last time I tried it)

I hate vehiclefags who never play around objectives and just afk camp 100 kda every game in a heli or artillery/aa vehicle but I also don't want BF to play like CoD.

BF1 was the perfect battlefield, minus the niggers and women DEI tokenism, bolt action/semi-automatic rifles were fun and had their pros over light machine guns and automatic submachine guns, maps had a perfect variety that pleased everyone, unlocking weapons was fun, most maps had insanely fun super weapons, no class felt overly broken or oppressive. It was the last great BF and the only reason I moved on is because of the rampant cheating on PC.

Despite all it's issues BF4 at it's core was a fun game because it's mechanics were enjoyable and well balanced. The 10 tick netcode was a joke, invisible walls were annoying, many of the maps were meh, and there were tons of bugs, but what really mattered was done well.

All we have now is battle royale slop or fast paced cod shooters. I bought into this crap and I rarely ever buy AAA games but this is the last time for me.

It's almost like they built the game without the level design, used artwork/setting first then just added some choke points/holds on top of it, I've never seen such shit level design in an FPS.

The beta seemed ok. The maps were odd but I thought it was a lot better at keeping the battle centered rather than having abandoned unmanned checkpoints one or two players would run around capping.

Just want an answer which isn't the average EA shill / Angry gamer copy paste text.

Graphics, weapons, gadgets, sound, it has all been fun
Except the maps are genuinely terrible. Every bad aspect of BF1->Onwards map design turned up to 11 because now the maps are tiny
