It's a discussion bigger than here, but I wouldn't be upset with something like a local yokel being paid $5K for a day of recording, to make a 'voicebox' that would be licensed for a game/game series that was then 'controlled' by a recording of a real VA.
AI can't do inflection where a real VA can, but I'm sick to death of hearing Troy Baker and Laura Bailey.

If they could control a voice model of some other voices though, we could have professional VA but with a variety of voices with almost no additional cost over just having less voices. No work is lost for VA's since their workload continues the status quo.
Local Yokels get thousands of dollars they wouldn't of otherwise for just saying shit on microphone for day or two.
We all get better VA.
