Raising enemy health and damage is a form of adjusting the difficulty, even if lazy, and people try to call it "tedious" instead of "hard" to avoid admitting that

FROM introduced a massive swathe of new players to quality action combat (I.E. not western wagglan and mashan like GoW/Bamham), which has created a critical mass of players ready for something more than the rehashed R1 O combat they've been growing tired of the past half a decade. It is this cohort which will serve as the fuel for an action game renaissance in the coming years, if it is not already happening. Demon's Souls did not doom action games, but saved them. It is only that this deed, though done, has yet to arrive in all its force.

Indies innovate because they don't get seen otherwise, you may not like it but Vampire Survivors and Lethal Company were innovative and that's the only reason they were successful.
