That's what I'd suggest. 2 Black is GREAT [i have played every version and it's my favorite]. Have fun. NG1 has a fun semi-open world/ interconnected persistent world that they never replicated ever again. How is the performance on PC compared to PS5? As in to match the same graphics settings? I bought it on PC but I don't seem to have stable 60fps unless I put Ambient Occlusion and Shadows to Low and Reflextions on Medium, with no Antialiasing. I got the Master Collection when it came out, but was disappointed in the port and never played it again until this week. I've played around a few missions of Sigma 1 in prep for NG4 and a ton of Nioh and DMC. I'm really impressed with everything so far and will keep working through NG4 as well as the older games.

Soulslikes are basically 3D metroidvanias, which is an extremely popular genre by itself even nowadays, just look at Silksong.

Mobility creep increased a ton, moving around an arena is very fast. Enemy encounters are very deadly on Hard. I stopped at Chapter 4 and I can say that it feels significantly harder than the Sigma games on Mentor.
