I think with the way the current blackboxes of model voodoo are assembled it'll never be able to make animations that don't look uncanny as fuck, which is why it's best application will always be shitposts. Still images aren't even there yet when you look at it without a boner, the jarring framerate and defaulting to something that looks like a freak combination of bad Live2d like something out of nikke/brown dust and rotoscope done on the cheap are things that'll always be present lest you use it for smear frames with an actual artist providing immense oversight. There's not a single good example of it being used well for actual video ITT, it's all intensely unpleasant to watch.
The results are probably only impressive to you because how many hoops and revisions you have to go through just to get such a sub-par result.
