is there something new or did you just want to shill it?
pretty cool overall, but the novelty of a format does not last long, at which point it just becomes an adventure game
also very detached characters make it hard to get invested in the narrative, unless you're a fan of dissecting OOH BUT WHAT COULD IT ALL MEAN mysteries yourself

episodes start and end with the advance log button
>EP0 - city, the void, their vessel, dull vessel.
>EP1 - discovery and suspicion
>EP2 - collapse, call research
>EP3 - collapse, golem maintenance
>EP4 - collapse, groundsmindry
then the adds are a bit more convoluted since some adds are accessible way before their episodes
but IIRC...
>EP1ADD1 - "god"
>EP2ADD1 - evil mode 1
>EP2ADD2 - beneath, memhole, and clemens
>EP3ADD1 - ozo, and almost all the content behind the first two masks (unity and hunger)
>EP3ADD2 - evil mode 2
>EP4ADD1 - all the content behind the second two masks (joy and freedom)
then we have two more adds for EP4 confirmed, one of which will be evil mode 3.

That chick is right that you're probably too dumb for it (only chicks like this crap), but yeah, that's the general gist of it. Weird alien morphology is cool, but when you literally just use it to tell a wacky story about a group of dull friends it loses all value.

The whole "oh yeah humies can't understand us lol!" shit from the intro is cool, but then when you actively show your weird aliens as just being... people but wacky, it loses the intrigue. Just go read Ender's game or something.

>EP0 is the weakest part
The initial mystery was the best part. The collapse spent a long time introducing characters and mechanics that didn't pay off. I get it, characters absorbed by the hivemind are still alive, don't beat about the bush for hours like this is a big twist and then never expand on it. I also wasn't sold on the character interactions in the face of death and I'm usually really into that

But Ozo's been pretty good. Though I liked it more when I thought it was a morally ambiguous choice like killing god. There's so much Jokzi content joining up is basically mandatory at this point, right? I wanted to see Funfriend lose his shit over my questionable life choices and pay for jamming random BS into my brain

Anonymous No.723782151 [Report] >>723782375 >>723782521
I have a theory.

It's called Panspermia. The Meteorite and, by extension, corru is some kind of interstellar organism that spreads by "infesting" new habitable planets, if not outright making them habitable. It's like the Star Control II Mycon, except (hopefully) with less genocide. The life cycle is as follows:
1. The "meteor" impacts on the surface, deep enough that it can safely gestate
2. It seeds life and deposits humanoid lifeforms onto the surface at a somewhat early evolutionary stage
3. It grows tendrils across the entire ocean, which grow pods like rhizobia. These are the "corrucysts".
4. It waits for the humanoid caretakers to find the corrucysts and to interface with them.
5. Once they interface, or after sufficient time has passed, it can start Calling them back, prompting them to find the Meteor.
6. They merge back into the Meteorite which then splits apart in a form of sexual reproduction
7. The planet probably fucking explodes and flings the meteorites to new destinations
The human meteorite is older than the Obesk one but, for some reason, its tendrils got cut off and it was unable to grow any corrucysts, yet it's Calling anyway.
Is this the book of Genesis? Yeah probably. Proof? Trust me bro.

>The human meteorite is older than the Obesk one but, for some reason, its tendrils got cut off and it was unable to grow any corrucysts, yet it's Calling anyway.
presumably the human meteorite ended up getting fucked by tectonic shifts. and we know that a ship sinking is what woke up the meteorite (tl;dr: confirmed in a tumblr Q&A. someone asked him about character ships and he diverted it into an answer about a ship that sunk and crossed a threshold that shouldn't be).
the most likely case is that the clemens sinking provided just enough metal as food to let it send out an SoS.

yeah I started recently and explored the Ozo the moment I found one of the membrane splits floating around, think it was even before EP2, using the Joy mask everywhere afterwards. you can get in there through the depths and the Parasite board has another drop-off into the Ozo.
Joy and Freedom masks are pretty cool, Unity could have more uses but Hunger is mostly disappointing. I wish the GAD mechanics were more in-depth, actually using the Global Consciousness bullshit for something is a really neat idea.

>>723782151
those are my thoughts as well but there's not enough information about velzie and his motives to know for sure, because overall the corru hivemind is shown as barely intelligent throughout the entire ceremony sequence, while velzie is not only obviously sentient, but is also pretty smart, and he doesn't seem to have any apparent ties to the larger corru. there's probably at least one more layer of things we are completely not aware of, beying both obesk conspiracies and corrucystic nature, so we don't really know what role the meteorite plays.
Anonymous No.723782793 [Report] >>723784598
>>723782375
But is it tectonic activity that did it in? Poor exotic metals, since "copper" is the easiest to get and doesn't really occur in such depths? Do we know about whether the Obesk world has tectonic activity? The Meteorite probably just starved.

>>723782521
Velzie is heavily implied to be something completely unrelated to either Akizet's memories or maybe even corru itself. Since the corrucyst was found in the depths, it might've actually been a more coherent thoughtform transmitted by the Meteorite, but that doesn't entirely fit. I think it's some kind of Dull lifeform because of the way it looks and the effects it causes. He might actually be God – of corru, some kind of central entity tasked with spreading it, and Velzie is an agent thoughtform. The Meteorites might just be what allows Him to stay anchored to reality through Dull contrivances.

I like the Ozo toys in general but it pisses me off that Joy and Hunger are mutually exclusive masks that make random shit appear out of nowhere. I don't see a pattern for when they need to be used. I guess I'm supposed to be constantly popping open the menu to check GAD? Otherwise I randomly flip them on and off and hope something shows up. Give me a visual cue or something.

On the other hand, Unity does exactly what I expect and Freedom is cool enough for me to never take it off

the Embassy is the Conflict part of the narrative arc, we aren't even at the climax. remember, there's still the whole Dull connection Akizet has built into the cyst, which should theoretically allow communicating with all the Obesk as a whole.

as far as I care, Hunger is the "revisit temporary places (that are also accessible with low GAD)" mask. it serves no actual purpose other than letting you retrieve Geli but I don't see how Joy couldn't also unlock that passage in Golem Maintenance, and yet another mobility aid among mobility aids. it honestly should be completely remade and actually correspond to the Fairy's hunger so you can eat memories

when velzie destroys the interview, akizet calls it out as "an echo of an echo".

pre episode 4, the translation core miniboss in golem maintenance had a special hallucination sprite for each character, and IK golem, Karik specifically, had a generic generic obesk sillouette associated with him, but after the ep4 - the silloute was changed to Telyu, which means that her design has not been finalized before the update which wouldn't make sense for your hypothesis.

there's the pretty lacking wiki, otherwise there's only personal notes
if by 'final boss' you mean the end of Collapse and the Ceremony, then that's a mystery that's still yet to be unfolded. Vekoa got banished back into the groundsmindry core, the ceremony got interrupted, the Embassy collapsed, some escaped via movefriends or Tozik ejecting everyone. casualties still mostly unknown; Tozik (very probably) dead and burried within the Embassy, Kazki probably fled off Earth. Vekoa, the groundsmindry attendant, Malvi, the archivist you can talk to in Better Times via proxy, Miltza, Dozkallvi and others were absorbed into the Ceremony.

his online persona is quite literally just "i am da corru man"
c.ob isnt the only thing he intends to make with the setting either.

he's actually quite a nice dude despite the state of the community
you can email him and he'll most likely reply to any stupid shit as long as it's funny and related to the game somehow
i know because i have

>actual interaction becomes less possible as his fanbase gets bigger
>but while niche he's stuck with DiD "haver" hell (many of which pretend to have a headmate based off of the main characters), endless pronoun people constantly trying to say "AKIZET IS TRANS-CASTE!", the "muh representation" people who will inevitably have a meltdown when moth and interloper's sex's are revealed, and yurifags that completely ignore all the akizetXcavik setup because she's also friends with isabel.
fucking grim, honestly. he's had this setting in his head since before homestuck was even a thing and when he finally managed to make something he wanted to share it was at the WORST possible time to have a remotely decent fanbase.

they do that care about romantic shit, man
they have left their bodies on obeski and any possibility of long term relationships which aren't strictly job related there with them

akizet and cavik were very close larval friends, and if they survived longer they probably would've had the obesk equivalent of marriage.

this ain't star trek, they're not consumate professionals. in fact, they seem a lot more like kids on a field trip from akizet's perspective than anything else. even with akizet there's a lot of relantionship buildup, like between her and cavik, between her and kazki, or between her and isabel. none of it I would describe as "romantic" but they sure are close friends.
also, their bodies are dead, it isn't like they really care. honestly I'm more surprised that they don't take "backups" of their personalities somewhere, sounds like it would be the reasonable thing to do even before you start engineering Echoes.

With how much social conditioning there is to Echoes, i assume it would probably hit some moral issues. Honestly, considering how early they got this technology as a civilization it's safe to assume that obesk might be actually less socially developed than humans.

Which are referenced in the Better Times latest chapter in relation to one of the bright cousins going "isn't that fucked up", Moth has something to say about that

Anyway, what's this fucking thing anyway? Is it the Clemens Romanus? The Meteorite? Akizet's Dull vessel?

that would in fact be the meteor.

Clemens Romanis is connected to shitton of other thoughspaces, so i think Moth's explanation of some other incoherent thoughtform bleeding into the ship might be accurate. It's too ambiguous to tell exactly what this is, but it's definitely somehow connected to the ship, underwater corru and the meteor.

If it's actually the meteor and it isn't just imagination, then that's concerning. But it's probably just imagination, either Akizet's or the cyst's itself.

its confirmed that the clemens fell on the meteor and started the call.
the noise on that tile is also featured in [our last stand], when you fight against the ceremony.
