Her second chain event can heal negative status effects, her third one gives you On Your Left without any 50/50 bullshit, and all of her events give you energy or mood up. At LB1, she gets a wit bonus of 2 and 10% training effectiveness, which is really good, and at MLB she has a 20% race stat gain bonus.

i'd say its right in-between, the card itself has bad hints but gives On Your Left as a gold skill and right now late surgers are starved of good gold skills, Furious Feat is Mile only, Rising Dragon is in that terrible Bamboo Memory card and the rest are mediocre.
probably not a priority if you don't plan to build tons of late surgers.

am i in the right track of making a mayano?
im hitting these stats somewhat consistently but still haven't had luck with Medium S, im trying to make her an end but might aswell try for late instead since im getting way better skills.

Some things that I've gleaned from practice rooms so far:

>Summer Maru is the real deal when she is max speed + Medium S + angling
>She WILL pass other fronts
>only way to take her down is multiple dominators
>Aces that were strong in Taurus will be strong here
>No I'm not kidding: literally 3 months old Taurus umas are even beating S. Marus sometimes, especially Oguri, Tachyon, and Golshi (but any strong pace should be good)
>Red Shift and Shooting are your friend
>The above abilities + Pump Iron on lates and ends, but lates seem to struggle more than ends this cup
>Two Gold heals is steal ideal, because if your only one fails you're shit out of luck
>Whatever you do, make sure you have max speed and medium S, regardless of trainee/running style
>Despite the fact that S. Maru can only be killed with dominator, there are still Nice Natures and Wedding Mayonos fucking everywhere, so don't skimp too much on stamina (800-900 two gold heals should cover you)

Riko is the same as Kitasan in the sense that her MLB mogs her 0-1LB version so hard that you might as well borrow her from someone, instead of trying something as crazy as MLBing her with just one spark. I'd say you should get 1LB Nature, which is much easier to do, and then look for another card/uma that interests you. You could even keep the support card uncap crystal we'll get in the near future and use it on a 0LB Nature.

your speed cards are weak, which is why your maru is a speedlet. You need her at max speed or you WILL get passed by Oguri. 1000 medium S isn't enough. You need 1200 medium S. I imagine you're running fine motion 0LB to get right handed? I would exchange special week for narita brian. She also gives right-handed and medium corners. Don't use Nishino flower because she has zero special priority. You can get firm conditions from king halo, do you not have her? Super Creek also gives it and most people are borrowing her. Mayano top gun gives you focus which can kind of function as groundwork trigger but is volatile to wit-fails. She has hints for non-standard distance, as does Cafe. You could do a 4 speed two stam build instead of the fine motion. Don't sleep on Narita Brian as a freebie card, she's better than Spe and gives you more useful hints for this one.

It does seem pretty effective at killing Smaru, but you need a strong Pace/End to take advantage of it.

I'm running a S. Maru myself, a pace in case she fails, and a dominator late. But I might just drop dominator and do an end instead because even if you build your late to be strong there's no way it's winning anything, and the stronger you make it, the less likely dominator procs anyways so you get rewarded for making them weaker.

My feeling is every room I'm in has had 2-3 dominators already. Do we really need a 4th one? Nah, so i'll create another ace that can capitalize off of it, assuming my S. Maru gets killed and my pace doesn't make it, my end can clean it up.

On Your Left is good, but on Leo it doesn't seem very good compared to red-shift/shooting, and in cancer, On your left was just a weaker furious feat. The benefit of On Your Left is that unlike Furious Feat, it's not limited to mile distance. But it seems like the activation window is bad here. You're better off grabbing Pumping iron + red shift and shooting for this race.
