No. You get comparable carats just for making it to the finals. You have to do HOW many careers? How much breeding? To just get slightly more carats (assuming you dont get blocked) than the shitter who won OPEN? In my opinion this shit is more for bragging rights than actual carats. I get that first place winners get slightly more, but for participating you get plenty of rewards as well. It doesn't compensate you well enough for the amount of time to takes to make an ace that actually can get first place. Everything else in the game respects your time better.
With this accelerated schedule you're also more likely to burn yourself out trying to get first place everytime, because you're going to have zero downtime in between CMs, whereas nips had a whole month to prepare for each one. For us it's like every two weeks. It doesn't respect your time, I don't think the rewards are good enough to warrant that unless you're really having fun with it or just want the title or whatever.

You are exactly right, each roll occurs for each skill independently.
At 900Wits each skill has a 87% chance to procc and at maxed 1200 Wits each skill has a 92% chance to procc. The raw individual trigger chance increase may be miniscule but if you multiply that for each skill you want to procc, the total summed chance for all your debuffs to procc actually increases by a lot. For a debuffer, I'd rather have 600 stamina and maxed Wit than 900 stamina and 900 wits. Then again, we're talking about percentages here so skills might not even procc at maxed wits.
