Not really, you very much want to use scenario link supports. Riko card gives massive amount of stamina for "free" and stat gains/caps are higher which leads to vastly different priorities when it comes to parents/supports. The fact that you can actually get multiple stats very high allows a lot more card flexibility. Like currently we just can't afford to bring wit cards, you can't get enough speed/sta/power with them in URA.

Think of two stam recoveries as insurance. Say you’re at 400 wit. Chances are at least one will go off. But if you only have one and it doesnt go off, then you’re screwed. This is why characters that come with free heals are really good in medium and long races. Mile and sprint you can just have enough stamina (usually via sparks + power cards) and be done. When you’re relying on skills to get you across the finish line, extra gives you consistency against wit checks and debuffs which CAN chew away at your health. Not to mention random moods and being rushed destroys your stamina.

One way to cope with one gold heal is to grab white heals to supplement. A gold heal is 5.5 with a white being 1.5. But even that small heal can help, and a few is even better but they’re not always available
