Reminder 3LB to MLB is like 6% more chance of getting rainbow
3LB has 60 + 100 (base) x 1.2 = 192.
MLB has 80 + 100 (base) x 1.2 = 216
The other trainings give 100 for each + 50 of not appearing.
The formula of the chance to appear on desire training is Total chance of specific training / Total chance of all trainings.
If you have no specialty priority is 100/550.
For Kitasan at LB is 192/642 = 29%
For Kitasan at MLB is 216/666 = 35%
If I recall correctly, maxed SSR cards with similar specialty priority have similar chances as 3LB but nowhere close MLB, however is much less likely to have one maxed as there's no rate up for specific ones AND the skills are more specific compared to Kitasan Gold skill which works on anything.
IMO: I don't think the 6% more chance was worth the extra resources, if anything getting other cards maxed or getting more horses was the optimal play, and since uma doesn't have limited support cards, there's always the chance of getting spooked by just rolling other cards, and if you have it at MLB you get like 5 rolls at best, at worst 0 if you already have many dupes of trash SSR.

You can't buy them, so Cygames doesn't make money off them, and all they do is discourage players from experimenting with different support cards. To put this in numbers, if each uma in your team only has 50% of having the right stamina, with 5 distances you only get one "correct attempt" every 32 attempts. And then you have to actually have good luck in the race, because the amount of stats you saved doesn't guarantee shit. It's absurd as a strategy when the actually strongest thing to do for trials success is to feed your umas a sundae, now you need that to hit your lucky run.

Don't chase around your supports, get all your stats to 100 to prevent guts from causing you to fail last spurts.
Train wit to 150, then never leave speed and strength training unless there's a g1 or a medium race before a g1 in Wich case you do both or do rainbow.
Creek, halo and flash will give you HH, you could get it immediately and it will improve your run or you could wait for it to get to at least 20%.
Get medium and late surgers skills.
Farming g1s will get you all the skill points you will need naturally, her career is easy mode , late surgers are very good in the few long races they have. You should hit 550-600 stamina easily and end up with minimum 800/800 strength and power and 350-500 int depending on how well you spaced it in your training.

I do think it's refreshing how slow the power creep in the game tends to be though. horses basically never go up in power, sure a new ult might be strong but the differences overall are slim especially looking at transferring nerfed ults to other horses.
Support cards do get power creep, but it's quite slow. The devs prefer the modern idea of intentionally busted Pal cards that only work for 1 scenario. It's less of a problem than you might think when hearing it because what that means in practice is that since everyone already has all the MLB cards they want after a few years, they just roll for the new scenario-locked MLB or take a break on spending on scenario cards and borrow it for that expansion. very f2p friendly when combined with the borrow system, as it means most of the powercreep cards between today and modern JP are easy to skip in JP, you just need the newer scenario ones and borrow the older ones individually.

Anons were right about Ryan's unique being overpowered for Late/End. Everytime it triggered Gold Ship just flew to the front and left the competition in the dust even with power that low, without that skill and with this stat it would've taken time for her to reach max speed but she reaches maximum in seconds. The skill has like a 2.5 seconds duration too, enough for the whole last spurt.

Grand live, the 2nd anniversary scenario has 1300 in most stats.. but 1600 in speed which makes it by far the preferred one to make competitive horses in for 99% of content on it's release. The scenario after is only 1500 speed, but has 1500 power too which matters for the back-half of the pack who'd take the trade off.
It's does feel the last couple of scenario jumps have been a bit more noticable though.
