Gold ship just wins no matter how many debuffs. Your best bet is a front runner getting a huge lead so they can't close the gap.

I've done nothing but PVP for the past 2 days doing trial and error builds, and trying to fine tune my 3 umas. An one of the biggest things I've noticed is the anti-goldship tech is likely going to be very very strong. People would rather lose entirely than see this uma win a race. Don't put all your eggs in her basket this CM. You will absolutely want a very strong pace chaser or a very ballsy front runner so you can hopefully avoid the nice nature/super creek debuffer zone.

There's a few ways to achieve this, but basically the higher you push your stats the less skills you can have. If you peak past 1k and have 3/4 skills you are REALLY pushing the limit and might accidentally B+. So those Umas are very very rare, and I'm pretty sure they are incredibly powerful too. It just doesn't make sense to enter graded as F2P. Maybe some people do it. Maybe they even win, but we need to be honest and admit they only got lucky with their matching. This track requires a very specific kind of end closer. One that moves up way before end closing time. ie an end closer that wants to be a late surger. You can build the most busted gold shit, but it won't do you any good if it hangs to the back like a generic end closer. And no, relying on anchor isn't enough. This wasn't a problem in cm1 because the track was short enough that no one ever hit their max speed, so gold ship with her huge end closer bonus just crushed everyone. That's not the case in a long track. You have to accelerate early on and keep the momentum for longer. If your horse waits too long, then it has no chance of catching up.

Debuffers probably do nothing this race. It's just dumb horses being dumb to begin with and people thinking it's the work of debuffs.
