What else are they supposed to do? The future era's loose threads were wrapped up in Wind Waker and the past's were wrapped up in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.

Kinda. Phantom Hourglass is a direct sequel to Wind Waker, and Spirit Tracks takes place a few generations later in the kingdom that WW Link and Zeltra founded and completely disregarded Daphnes' request to not call it Hyrule, because brand recognition is important don'tcherknow.

OP here. I dont take the timeline stuff serious but MM and WW and TP are very clearly direct sequels to OOT just based on the games themselves. MM is the same Link again. WW intro talks about the events of OOT and TP references OOT as well and OOT Link is in the game. I dont care about any of the other Zelda games. I only care about the OOT related ones.

3D LoZ is the most dogshit medieval-fantasy action-adventure on the market.

Skyward Sword was clearly where the reboot happened not BOTW. SS, BOTW and TOTK all give off a similar cirngey anime weeb vibe that the previous 3D games didnt have.
