I don't see any other reason why they'd keep the same style and proportions for the rocket parts and especially the cats. You could slap a Kerbal head with the same height on that neck and it'd be a dead ringer. Just be shush about it I suppose.

Probably with lower graphics. They're trying to make the engine as performant as possible. If you have a gigafuckshit station made of a million parts it will run better than Kerbal for sure.

It seems KSA wants to be a more serious spaceflight simulator in the same light as KSP, just more modernized and feature-rich while avoiding what made SFS and Juno flop.

Do we know yet if they have a competent physics simulation? A pretty obvious solution to deathwobble problem is to bake the entire craft as a single rigid body (with flexion), compute shear across it and break at part joints where a threshold is exceeded.
