I've played it for 10 hours and so far I like it. If you've played zero sievert then it's more of the same. I absolutely don't care for the meme duck aesthetic but the gameplay and progression is surprisingly in depth. I wish the weapon mods would actually show on the weapon, currently they're just stat changes except scopes and lasers but maybe there's already a mod for this.

Zero Sievert has a lot of problems, mainly perspective, bad sound, the same caliber autism than Tarkov without the leg meta, ugly characters (environment and weapons are pretty detailed though), uninteresting hideout and character progression. If you want something a little more serious (more mechanics, better weapon modding...) I suppose it's better, but I've had more fun on Duckov.

Is it still possible to get the demo on Steam through some package fuckery or do I need to pirate to try it? Don't understand why publishers just remove demos after some time.

I think it's very good, I also like the fact the game doesn't take itself too seriously but also doesn't go overboard with the whole duck thing, they struck the perfect balance between silly and serious

I don't know how it compares to those two games because it's been over a decade since I played either but it's just a simple timing minigame, there's many fishing spots and each fish requires different conditions and some require special bait, at least that's what the notes say, I haven't gone too in depth on fishing but there's some quests and a short upgrade path tied to it

If someone made an anime Jagged Alliance or 7.62 I'd buy it, the problem is that they always go for the horny audience whereas I just want anime.
its unfortunately still am extraction/looter shooter. meaning i will never once in my life touch it. involiving ducks makes me think it might not be so gay, but it is still a part of the genre.
Holy fuck where is the survival backpack my skill tree has been blocked by that, is it farm town? Also how come some weapons have their real name and some have a parody name? I thought you need licenses to use the real names.

Yes, I found a survival backpack on a random enemy in Farm (or it was inside a container, I don't remember). For licenses I think it's an urban myth, manufacturers don't give a shit.

It's always women only or chibi for the "gap moe" or whatever, I just want squad based tactics with Hojo or Toriyama art style (Toriyama surprisingly drew god tier mechs and fictional guns). Something like Front Mission is close enough but it's a mechs.
