What I miss the most with the endings is that, if you achieved one of the Princesses who clearly loved The Player (Thorn, Songbird, Damsel) there isn't a way to "rip them away" from the Shifting Mound, make her her own person, and either escape together or stay in the Construct, only this time it becomes your own pocket dimension rather than a prison.

Because it’s a two-year-old game and the devs are on record they are done with it forever. To be frank we ran out of things to discuss a long time ago and the threads have only persisted this long out of sheer autism. The anniversary is a good stopping point lest we descend into /ksg/-style insanity. Tony said he wanted Happily Ever After to be the last thing he ever wrote for StP, and it’s not a coincidence it’s about how horrible it would be to force the Princess to stay around forever.

Granted if some other anon wants to try making regular threads nobody can stop him, but personally this is my last one, and I’ve been the OP of most recent Saturday threads at this point. But I might try doing regular Scarlet Hollow threads once Episode 5 is out.

"Princess and the Dragon" is fantastic and has the best theme of them all.

"The Cage" is somewhat of a mess.

"The Moment of Clarity" is unnecessary, and should have been completely rewritten into something else.

Additions to "Apotheosis" are very welcome.

"The Fury" should've been redone into something completely different rather than expanded. I don't really get the point of that Princess, it's too similar to Razor.

I like the metaphysical relation between what is essentially two deities manifesting contrasting aspects of reality. Though I do wish the nature of the "Relationship" ventured a bit farther away from Romance but I get the creators wanted that to be a focus and many of those scenes are quite cute. I like Adversary because that union is based on violence and conflict but I was slightly annoyed all of her Chapter 3s are based on her not liking something you did like "Cheating" in the fight by not dying.

I wanted something like The Cage or The Apotheosis where it's a very similar character to the Chapter 2 just taken to the Nth degree. I wish you could make The Fury start enjoying the fight again even as you both start using absolutely disgusting, reality bending techniques to keep the fight going on a molecular level as each of your cells individual strive to fuck each other up.

I never really got into the OST, I enjoyed it while playing but never listened to it on its own.

I didn't participate in these threads much before.
But, I loved this game, I still love this game (even if I haven't played it in quite some time) so I knew I had to chip in to the last regular Saturday thread.

I never got all the achievements, not sure if I ever will.
I feel complete with what it's meant for me and my life.
While I'm sure the narrator would disagree, I think things are no less valuable just because they're temporary

I bought this game last year, was aware about it for much longer before that. I might start playing it this year in honor of this being the last thread. I think it's been long enough that I've forgotten a lot about it to go in with a fresh mind. I feel like I should be sorry that I've held off from trying this game for so long, but it's more important that I ever got the motivation to visit the game at all.

It's rather brief, her design in unappealing, it's not very narratively interesting.

Also both of those routes has more satisfying endings.
You can release both the Specter and the Nightmare, which I like to do, and if you want a chapter 3 both have unique ones.
