Alright, heads up — a lot of the “discussion” threads lately about random anime gacha trash are not organic. Companies are using bots and paid shills to flood /v/ with coom bait and “discussion” threads to make their games look popular.
They’ve figured out that a big chunk of their target audience (lonely dudes, bored gamers, and anime enjoyers) hangs out here, so they’re seeding engagement directly on /v/. Every “wow this new banner is so good!!” or “rate my waifu team” post might not be some random anon — it’s marketing.
Don’t take the bait. Ignore, hide, and report the spam. Don’t give these parasites free engagement.

I'm like 90% sure whoever the lead mod here just doesn't give an fuck about how it's managed here, because there's no way you can tell me hentai and gacha threads are okay when their boards for them, what's the fucking point in having a place for that shit when it's clearly not being moderated, the only thing I believed is going on is there less traffic coming to /v/ and that's why those threads are allowed to stay up but that just an theory I have, but I think this year has been the worst for this place maybe it also have something to do with $70 games because gacha are free and with that price more people are gonna want to talk about it here rather then about an video game you gotta pay $70 to play
