>be in an alleyway with a single door
>turn on detective vision™
>hmmm what about that door
>realize I should enter the door to continue the game

Have they ever come up with an explanation as to why boxes, ledges and valves are painted yellow, in any game?
HiFi Rush had a robot whose job was to install the arrow signs you see scattered throughout the levels you play and you'd read his notes sometimes. That was funny.

It can make sense for things to be painted different, like an emergency ladder or markings on a construction site lit up signs above exits and whatnot. But that requires some amount of thought and it's easier to just take a paintbrush tool and splot some yellow down

QA wouldn't be an issue if the game was competently designed to begin with

Based?

Symptom, not cause. The cause is gamers in 2025 being braindead burnouts. They buy games to get to the ending, not to enjoy them.

just look how stupid the modern gamer is they willingly buy pokemon and other trash. do you seriously expect people like that to understand you can climb ladders and stuff? be real

they need to do this thanks to digital sales being able to be refunded if the player can't finish the first puzzle ala cuphead or even find the first door or ladder the player will just refund they've studied it and it has proven successful

the only way to teach a player is by painting a path yellow? I hope you never make games

These aren't hints, those are for arcade players to stop being cowards and continue playing like god intended

Yes because those very clearly distinguish themselves from the gameworld instead of lazily trying to "blend in" the retardproofing.

Isn't this a result of devs chasing photo realism and players not being able to distinguish background props for interaction objects?
