Are there any good liminal agri-horror games?
The end of Portal 2 comes to mind but that's just in a cutscene that lasts a few seconds.

Are zoomers really afraid of beautiful golden wheat fields?

This is what the Proto-indo Europeans saw when they set out to conquer the world. If this terrifies you, then you are part of a prehistoric matriarchical cult and unfit to live.

I would only be scared of these fields if there was a dinosaur hiding in them or some shit. But there's not.

What the fuck is scary about that? At least backrooms or whatever was probably claustrophobic and damp, that's just beautiful fields under a perfect sky. I don't understand and I'm legit trying to, assuming this isn't a shitpost

some people are afraid of wide open spaces with nothing in them
if we combine that with zoomer fears like being alone for 0.5 seconds i think this probably scares them shitless

Legit the only thing I can think of is the agri-worlds from 40k but there are no games about them

That's just depressing. Used to love just getting away from people for a few hours to go read on a secluded treestump in the back 40 on the farm, crazy to think how it would be considered weird and scary nowadays by younger crowds

Based, same, but up in a tree. Neighbor had an apple orchard and there was a patch of trees that lost its leaves before almost everything else, they let me read up in that patch whenever fall came around, and the autumn glow of yellows, reds, and oranges was heavenly. That time of fall and the very first green of spring where it's still mostly snow are my favorite times of the year, love to watch those changes while reading a good book.

it's not the field under the blue sky that's horrifying, it's the idea that once you're here, it stretches infinitely with no other objects around. this picture doesn't work if there's a house or a scarecrow or some shit that could act as some sort of solace. you tryhards would be freaked out if you had nothing but sky, wheat with a flat horizon, and a road that stretches to infinity.

Man, love that time of year too. Loved summer the best though, those crazy long evenings where, once the afternoon has its moment, the heat pulled away and cicadas came out as everything took to winding down as dusk started to take over and cast long shadows over the alfalfa we grew for the cattle were absolute magic to me. Heartbreaking knowing how few kids nowadays get to experience those simple moments you can almost reach and touch. Sincerely hope to God they can find the same everyday beauty in their lives in some form like we could back then

I thought the same thing. When I saw the image, I said, “How nice it would be to walk around a place like that for a while.”

Then I saw the title and was taken aback.
