Does it have multiplayer? Is it dead?

I've never heard of this game before and apparently this is a sequel.

Fuck this captcha btw

>Does it have multiplayer?
It has a multiplayer MODE, I think the public lobby is connected to their official discord so you get a ping in there if people are queuing up, so you get at least 1 other dude to play at most times.
I recall them reworking the online in a future update to make it just a single global room rather than separate by US/Europe/Asia.

It's CTRfags tired of waiting for the PC Port so they stole the mechanics and put mods in it.

I've hadn't much trouble getting some randoms join in after a bit of waiting in the global lobby, but it's not super alive, it's a pretty niche game, with it being an indie kart racer that's skill-based and only on steam (they want to make a console version but doesn't that mean they lose on the mods?).

Sonic Crossworlds kinda overshadowed the month of increased popularity it had, I like it a lot, I often will play it just to race on new tracks I find on the workshop and do a time trial or two.

yeah in most countries it's 30 bucks for some reason, I got it for 15 so I can't complain and even if I love the game and I might have paid 30 for it, it's so fucking specific I would probably wait till a good enough sale puts it in the 15-10 ranger to be honest.

Those physics look very off compared to CTR, it's close enough but gives an uncanny valley vibe
The amount of forward force you get every powerslide boost looks weird, the amount of airtime you get from jumping off a basic curb looks really off and the floaty gravity doesn't look that satisfying

CTR is fun because the physics are tight and weighty not excessively floaty

>>724520974
first review on steam is as you say, a whiny scrub saying the game is too hard. lmao
Anonymous No.724527283 [Report]

I totally agree actually, it's a very floaty, kind of aerial focused game. The geometry on most mods maps ain't perfect and lets you get HUGE air sometimes, which is perfect to do crazy skips and shortcuts. Some people like that but I actually prefer racing on the track lol.

CTR has the perfect combination of control and player liberty to take risky lines in order to gain on people, and TK2 is a perfectly suitable replacement but it's far from being as amazing as CTR (and NF). At the end of the day they are different games after all, so I welcome both for what they bring to the table. Maybe they could add a gravity slider, at least for private lobbies, I think somebody suggested that on their nolt-io feedback page.

If you look at it compared to other kart racers it's basically just the audacity of the wacko physics and the modding scene that make it interesting. If you're a speedrun enthusiast who loves physics exploits, though, it's absolutely bonkers as CTR on balloon cocaine.

I only watched a friend play the game but overall it looked very lack luster
>Most tracks are very bland, some just straight up have nothing on them expect some pillars in the middle of the road
>Ui might be the worst fucking thing I've ever seen in a video game
>Overall visual style felt very uninspired
>The worst thing is the physics, ctr let you do crazy things BUT the kart was heavy and had serious weight to it. Karters 2 feels like they took the physics and put it on a car filled with helium, it's far too easy to just get insane air when it was something you had to work for and train to do reliably in og.
Not saying people can't be enjoying it but watching it killed any interest.
