>All AI art looks the same.
>There's an extremely uncanny underlying style to all AI generation. I don't know if it's the algorithm applied to linework or the general geometry or what
Yes and no, i'm hesitant to use the phrase "skill issue" because that implies skill. It's more like a basic IQ check. Majority of models have a "default" style it will adhere to, often times bleeding into the result. Some don't and require you to supply loras or artist tags or all you get is an incoherent blob. Most people don't even get that far, and I guarantee the most vocal ones here don't even have the hardware to gen locally and it doesn't even take that much (A 1080 works)
To put it into video game terms, it's like RPGmaker.
The ease of access RPGmaker has given to low skill retards has created an inundation of low quality slop flooding the internet and the steam store page. All using the same default assets, same tilesets, except theres a different big tittied girl on the menu screen.
Yes there are the rare Yume Nikkis out there, but think of how incredibly small that ratio is to the amount of default asset slop that's out there.
Now nobody out here is making any Yume Nikkis out of aislop for sure, but you get my point. The easier a tool becomes, the lower the IQ barrier of entry becomes. Worse yet because its new technology you have idiots without functioning eyes proudly perching themselves at the dunning kruger peak yelling at the people slumped down on both sides, then again I blame phones and phone screens for people's inability to notice details, as image quality in general has nosedived in the last few years.
