I've got to admit, I've been watching no commentary runs of the first episodes and I have to buy the game now just because of how dogshit awful everyone seems to be playing the Dispatch segments.
The guy I watched had 2 separate uploads for Episode 3 & 4 (I thought they'd be Blonde Blazer and Invisigal routes, given the different thumbnails) but it was just the same Blonde Blazer romance playthough too.

Waterboy did great in his very first shift. I'm speccing him as intellect because I let Sonar go and that's a big need right now. He got 3 level ups in one shift, and he is well rounded such that he always increases the chance of success even outside of intellect.

Keep in mind that if you're a completent player and are only let down by the heroes sabotaging each other, the actually bad players would have absolutely no chance. The dispatch during episode 3 when everyone is sabotaging each other and the one during episode 4 where you're a hero down are, I think, both supposed to be 'unfairly' difficult for story reasons.

They kept buying licenses to use intellectual properties like Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, Batman, Minecraft, Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy, fucking Jurassic Park, and they barely stayed afloat until they just couldn't anymore. Delays, rewrites, buggy shit and the same "your choices matter (no actually they don't really)" gameplay. The finally got the hint that unique branching storylines was something players wanted and put a little of that in Batman season 2 and it was well-received by like 10 people on /co/

Dispatch is a bigger commercial success than even The Walking Dead game, because it's entirely their own original IP, it's entirely finished already, no rewrites or delays are gonna happen, and it's obviously been polished to perfection. What bugs apparently exist (I haven't noticed) are patched out nearly immediately. And yes, it helps that it's free from LGBT and other such shit.

There was one bug that happened where after the initial banter during one of the dispatch sessions, the dispatch minigame didn't start, but I just went back to the main menu and then back to the game and it started normally.

Waterboy, like the rest of the fuck ups, is just another guy with his own sets of strengths and weaknesses. Mechanically, at the very worst circumstances he contributes a 10% increased success rate through his first skill. He also starts with low but balanced stats and has good opportunity to accelerate so you can fit him to be a good replacement for either coupe or sonar, realistically also punch up and malevola respectively as well.
Honestly its works pretty well with him being a low confidence rookie that you have to mentor, good example of weaving narrative and gameplay, shame there isn't more gameplay.

Depends what you consider fair. Blonde Blazer had the first episode to herself, but come episode 2 she's set up to be unobtainable because she's already seeing someone.

On the flip side, Invisigirl comes in episode 2 and across 2, 3 and 4 has more screen time and chemistry with Robert.
