ahh dang, I was gonna say the pushblock kinda works on rng so it requires you to press several buttons in a short window. There's a sliding technique for stick (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5NTcossmeA) but to make it applicable to pad, you might try practice sliding the face buttons with your thumb or try to include shoulder buttons with your indexes.
