The trash is a bit excessive at base #3 but it feels like going back to your first playthrough before you knew about the easy money tricks or mailboxing right now with what the new tasks bring. I haven't actually thought of time left in the day for a while so it's kinda nice in that way.
The new controls are infuriating for the muscle memory though. I wish there was an option to get rid of the hold prompt entirely and instead have to hold left alt or something for the modifier.

Why even bother letting us save then? Driving all the way to the hole in the fence (if its even still there) and back with how fragile the ATV is now, sounded like hell. Backrooms should seriously be disabled on special maps/modes. Just fucking reset us to start position or 0:0.
At least there's a "Fix Mailbox" button and I can take my Sell Gun to get the ATV upgrades to make it easier. A tip for anyone curious: you can t put the toolbox in the ATV container upgrade. Because trying to shift-click-while-holding just tries to repair it and wont let you put it in.

Am I a freak for liking the triangulation scanning? Genuinely feel its better, used to have to pan all over the screen squinting to see the shitty ass pings then having them fail every 2 out of 3 times, now it points me right at them, they hang around longer, and dragging the triangle around is only a pain if the ping is like 5k away, and will be mitigated by upgrading. It might get old, but for now it feels like im actually doing something. Hasnt happened to me yet, but i guess pings can still fail or run out before you finish and that blows if true.

I think the signals disappearing while you are moving the points is the main problem. Either there should be a way to tell how long a signal will remain (thickness of the ping ring maybe) to give you an idea if you should even try. That way it becomes a game of "Can I pull it off fast enough" as you get more upgrades. Hell tie it in to the size of the ping. Big ping? Stays for a long time, downloads slower, etc. Small ping, shorter lifespan but downloads faster.

This is all great, but how the hell am I supposed to clean this shithole now? With the trash piles there is even more trash items now, and with the new bindings its a bigger pain in the ass to pick them up. Should I just sweep this shit away with a broom into one big pile somewhere? I used to pick all the loose items up and make them into scrap, but is that even useful? And this time some scrap items combined into a whole server upgrade and ive no idea where the recipe I "learned" from it went or what it even does. Is it still the way to go to get a billion trashbags to sell trash?

In case you haven't noticed, all the trash piles are static "fake trash" props now for optimization. Can't sweep them. It looks like a lot, but the actual trash item content in the piles are oftentimes smaller than what the pile's appearance indicates. Interact with them (grab, E) to get the actual trash. The static pile disappears once there's no more trash items to get from it. Also, shovel the trash balls to convert them into trash items, no need for garbage bags. From there, either make loads of scrap for crafting (always useful) or call the drone in and put everything in the bag for some early cash. The bag is bottomless and the drone stays until you send it back so you can literally just put all of the trash items in the base in there in one go and sell it all, no need for multiple item boxes anymore.

Having to go to 3 places and write down the codes, combined work with a possibility for user error.
In iteself, its retarded that you cant just see the hashes from any server, via any other server.
But as a combination of busy work and potential for error, it was a half decent task.
Now the potential for error is gone and its just busy work left.

Instead, you should have just had a router upgrade, that lets you get the hash codes on any terminal.
Maybe a second upgrade with the disk system on any terminal.

Instead we are now left with boring busy work and no possibility to even make a mistake.

Thinking on it, maybe it's just how it works internally. A hook, rendered invisible, then a visual line overlaid ontop. Talk about spaghetti.
Oh, and you can't grab and remove them. Which would be an issue, if not for the fact that "thankfully" saving and loading your save removes them (which is it's own separate issue, but I suppose I'd rather that than ugly hooks all over my next iteration of the schizoboard).
Oh, and paintings don't retain their picture either, they reset to missing textures on load, even though posters are fine.
