>they dont care about new players, they just want the mazed papyigs
While the second part is true, nu-Blizzard had done everything to be able to sit on both chairs, but had ended up making so much modern "progressive" things (incompatible with the old audience) that the aforementioned audience had started leaving and keeps leaving even now. Let's be honest, i had fell for that half-assed bait of "you're definitely working for Sylvanas, but undercover, here is your badg- 'buff', now go and make the revolution happen" along with a small different quest line and the greatest bait of all in form of that small in-game cutscene in the end of BfA. I had bought next addon actually waiting for the miracle to happen, then i had seen, that "democracy Horde" isn't going anywhere, faggots are now appearing, various characters are dealt with in a way i clearly don't like - it just feels fake and gay, literally - i have very different world view compared to modern script writers, apparently, on what is good, bad, cool, lame etc - and (as i, as always, usually stop to play 3-4 months after the launch) i had observed, that everything just went further down the road i completely don't like, and then WoW had been rebooted once again with faggot centaurus addon.
Cataclysm, despite a rather hard change of direction, was cool. Even Shadiwlands still had some cool and beautiful moments. But the further it went since, say, Legion or, maybe, Draenor, the more bad unlikeable things had been added. Legion was mostly cool. BfA had many interesting things. SL had, mostly, good-looking locations - plot went to shit, characters were further shittified or disposed of (see Borderlands 2 and onward compared to the original Borderlands) gameplay in anything outside of lfg has been turned into special olympics, while lfgs had took a turn toward the speedrunning shit (although that one had truly risen in Draenor with its "challenges" and in Legion with diablo3fied dungeons)
