If they fixed the pacing and a few other minor things here and there I'd rate it higher.
I think most of the last minute side quests should have been spread out throughout the game better. Like a few of them could have been done earlier in the game story, while some felt appropriate towards the end or even in a post-game.

Probably one of the better digimon games in decades. I'm fine with them gating evolution stage through agent point, but it would be great if they extend Champion stage period a bit longer. I'd say post-Titamon battle is the perfect spot for getting Ultimate. Honestly, I'm not fond of fixing timeline right after tragedy happened. Then again, it's a T-rated game so whatever.

There's no way to GRIND Agent Points, you just gotta keep playing the game and doing sidequests. I got to Agent Rank 7 by the 4th Apostle, doing all the sidequests. At that point, you can Digivolve your Ultimates and afterwards it becomes irrelevant.

Iliad had a clockwork look going throughout it. Every time you looked into the distance or under some objects you would see gears and shafts. That makes sense for places like the factory area but for the most part I would like to see a mix of real world elements with nonsensical computer parts and other electronics incorporated into it. I'm not sure why they didn't spread out the side-quests more instead of spamming you with all of them at the end, it would have helped making some parts of the second half a lot less dull to go through.
Also I believe there's a huge missed opportunity to add some actual gameplay element to the timeloop plot, it could have been really cool if they let you figure out how to save the day instead of just teleporting you at the right moment.
I did not like how childish and handholding the plot delivery was at time, but that's just every JRPG nowadays that isn't Clair Obscur.

Most of the power is locked behind the Agent tree, unless you are doing Mega/Mega+ where you need maxed stats, so don't agree.

It took me ~60 hours to get to the final boss, WITOUT doing any of the last missions. I could probably beat the game in 40 hours if I grabbed whoever was convenient to make a team. I'm playing Digimon World 1 and I think I overestimated how difficult this would be due to other people's accounts.

Cyberslut and its direct sequel was either extremely easy on the normal difficulty or extremely hard on the hard one, it also had you spending a lot of time making you backtrack to the older areas of the game during the late game, with zero consideration for changing the encounters so you were still fighting the same lvl3 mooks with your team of ultimates.

I played Balanced mode and thought it was pretty fair. I never had to grind except when I decided to digivolve one of my teammates right before a boss fight (since they'd be very under-leveled going into it).
The only time I actually struggled was:

I think it would have been better if some of the normal enemies mimicked the gimmicks of the upcoming boss battle to better prepare you for them. It felt like the game was trying to both teach me and test me on the mechanics during the boss battle. I think it would have been better to teach you the mechanics during normal enemy battles and then test you during the boss battle. It feels more natural that way imo. Although it did make boss battles more interesting since you had to think on your feet.

Rather than setting Digimon to train in specific stats with an item, the Farm could instead be a passive EXP zone (rather than have the same EXP conditions as the box), where they get additional stat boosts per level based on their environment.

I think that this would work best by borrowing from Digimon's v-pet roots and recontextualizing the Farm as something the player can interact with at a moment's notice
In Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, you can open up your phone to access the map, a few menus and a minigame, all while still being in full control of your character. I think this sort of system would be ideal for the Farm as you can quickly check on your Digimon and fiddle with it as needed. There could also be a care aspect involved maybe, where Digimon call out from the Farm and you have to tend to their needs.

Presumably the new timeline's events still played out for the most part and it's only a partial reset, otherwise the Olympos 12 wouldn't have formed or obtained their new forms. I imagine the digital world events played out as we saw them in the "fixed" shadow puppet plays, and Jupitermon ultimately defeated the final boss from the digital world's perspective. So the Titans would still have plenty of reasons not to trust the rest of the world and Plutomon doesn't necessarily agree with their justice either.

I had a similar reaction for a bit after the titanmon/horse fight. When I reflect on it after a few days, I figured out the issue: my desire to have a living dex/field guide during my playthrough meant I ended up getting a lot more levels trying to get 200% scan rate on all the digimon and meeting stat requirements for evolutions. Those that played normally would face proper challenges on balanced and hard, and I only really felt the difficulty kick in after the Calamarmon fight, since at that point I had most ultimates

Sirenmon is definitely my MVP so far, enough so that I think I'll keep her around even when it's time for mega evolution. Those AoE debuffs she sports are just that good for an INT team.
I do wish I could swap the voice actor around though. I'd like to listen to the story sirenmon's voice for battle rather than the one the playable version of her uses.
