The job system system is overrated af. And so is FF V by extent.
>bro bro its so underrated
>it would be sooo popular bro if it released in west bro
>muh job system
>bro did I mention muh job system bro
>play the game
>1/3 of the roster is useless
>the other 3rd is some gimmicky garbage that forces you to grind so much you would finish the game beforehand, and relies on hidden/missable spells/abilities in order to be useful
>...while the rest of the classes have at least one skill each that completely trivializes the game and all of the bosses
So how did the devs balance it?
>"Let's just make the base game so easy that you can beat it on vanilla without any skills at all"
No wonder normalfags never crtiticize it. Because it's probably the easiest one out of the first 10 FFs.
What's even the point of having 22 classes if you don't need any of them to beat the game?
Not to mention that you can't be too creative with it either, because the ABP requirements are so high that at best you can maybe finish one class per character before the game ends. Unless ofc you grind your ass off, non-stop farming ABP. But then again, what is the point of extra grind when the game is already so easy?
It feels like there is a whole chapter of the game missing, in which you could finally go all out, instead of nerfing yourself on how-not-to one-shot every boss by accident.
Also despite having le 22 classes the white mage is still the most broken, just like in every other FF game. While berserk is worse then not picking any class at all. The balance is all over the place.
So much for "muh perfect job system".
I genuinely believe that ppl are so hung up on muh job system when talking about FF V is because there is really nothing else worth mentioning about the game.
The plot is basically generic harem isekai, where plain neet MC randomly becomes the chosen one and gets harem of 3 bitches for free to defeat le evil lord. THE END. (At least that explains why nips like it lol)
