One of my many complaints about vanilla ER was the OST and the quality of bosses, even the ones that were supposed to be the "best" were pretty below average in combat desing, like Malenia or the final boss.
Nightreign has some of the best bosses, and the soundtrack is way more memorable and better structured.

Also the biggest complaint is of course that it's too difficult.
Just check Steam reviews for how many people with hundreds of hours whine because the entirely optional deep of night autism mode exists now.
