Yes.
Lying to you and then hiding an explanation in the fine print to pretend that you didn't lie is a common trick. Take a news article, the headline is a lie, it lures you into making a false conclusion, the next 4 paragraphs are boring and cause you to lose your attention. 3 quarters of the way into the article the triuth that explains what actually happens is printed; but by that point the majority of readers have already moved on just as the author knew they would.
The fine print told you the truth; but you probably didn't read it. So did they lie to you?
