Nope, it's a classic coping mechanism. Rationalizing inaction, because it's easier to overcome yourself and do something.
Its an evolutionary thing, brain users a lot of energy and learning is extremely energy consuming activity. So instead of trying something you make up excuses like "I don't have the skills", "nothing will come out of it", "I don't want to make same games everyone does". So you end up doing nothing, cherishing the dream of actually making a game. Hell, making anything, finishing anything. You dream that and then you die with nothing to left after yourself.
If you're okay with such ends, keep dreaming.
