My usual pattern is getting 1 green and all red.
From there it's two clicks of the reds and you're done (since if you have only 1 green, that's 6 reds in a row).

The fact that the CR towers seem to fail daily, the fuses are far too expensive, and they're only listed as "CR_1" when breaking down pisses me off though.

The triangulation thing sounds kinda neat, but needing to buy a mountain of fuses sounds like some annoying shit that'll softlock a lot of players in the early game. Turning off the power to upgrade things sounds like an interesting idea though. I like elements that force you to forgo your sense of security.

The one where you have to match the squiggly lines is pretty fucking annoying. Like it's a pretty standard puzzle that's usually no trouble at all but the interface for it is pure ass and every time the transformer's power goes down a percent it resets so you have to start all over. It's almost less annoying to just let the transformers die just so you don't have to deal with it reseting on you

The fuses need to sell for exactly the same price as they're bought for. Really, why the hell am I spending money out of my own paycheck to fix their faulty equipment, I get upgrades, but basic maintenance of these towers shouldn't be my problem, at least monetarily that is. You ping and navigate using the yellow square reticle, as it moves about twice as fast as dragging them. Once you find the signal (that should have a way to show its lifespan but lmao nose fucked that up) you either click the three right hand buttons on the console, or use 1, 2, and 3 to auto set each point instead of dragging it since this is almost always faster than dragging them unless you completely neglect the cooldown stat and the signal is close
the coordinate towers are also fucked and will damage themselves if you hit alt because nose left that debug feature in

as for the trash all you need to do is drag the three trash bins on the side of the base inside and dump everything into them to make moving it to the bench for scrapping way easier

The signal scanning changes are pretty terrible and eat up a lot of time/money. I like getting the hash codes on the floppy disk but moving them to a zip disk feels like pointless busywork they made so okerfus doesn't completely trivialize daily tasks.

Well, its still an extremely minor task that is done in no time. I think the point is to vibe check you late game to see if you are paying attention. I dont think its a coincedence that the delete button right up next to the move button.
I think the whole point of the update is to pad out the cleaning and set up part of the game and then to continue to keep you engaged even if you have omega cumfur.
That is why I think its a good update, because it expands on the game. My only real gripe is the gold leaf plated extra premium hood classic fuses and the fact that the car battery randomly dies and goes form 70% to 0%. But maybe Im retarded on the second point

I feel like nose is making the game for returning players. People who played the previous versions should have no issue with the new systems since they know the basic start.

I've heard this is the biggest complaint. It's because each check (there's 10 iirc) is a dice roll.
imo it should be a simple loading bar that'll occasionally get stuck, then you just need to press a button to get it going again.

How often are people alt tabbing out of the game to be nuking their towers every 5 seconds? I get that they fucked up big time leaving a debug key in the game like that but I don't understand how people are having them go down so often. I wouldn't even know they were a feature in the game at this point if I didn't see the constant complaints online

In fact I was wondering why people where complaining about the towers going down too until the alt thing came to light, as it immediately clicked I haven't been using the Alt+[num] hotkeys at all, as I preferred manually clicking on the the colored buttons and using numpad on doors.

There is no way to compare Factorio with VotV. The groundwork is good in theory, in reality this was pushed out a too early for the Halloween event and to gather feedback about the big system changes.

I think this update is extremely good albeit extremely flawed too
Actual putting a focus onto the core game and job of the game instead of just slapping more events into the VOTV blender was the most based thing Nose has done in a long, long time
BUT they gotta adjust some shit, namely making the floppy disk writing less aggravating (I don't see why they couldn't make the writing to disk a minigame honestly), and tweaking the coordinate towers a bit. Either giga nerf the fuse costs or just make them more stable on their own, fixing those two things will make this the best update since forever.

Okay I think I'm encountering a semi-obscure issue with new optimization tactics.
There's been a couple of times where some object I wanted to pick up has become intangible, as in it no longer has a grab hitbox and other objects just phase through it, only for it to suddenly snap back into existence some distance away, often half-clipping into furniture or a wall.
