SH is a survival horror game. Meaning adventure-like exploration and problem solving are the main attractions.
SH2 dei-make just turns the whole slow-burn "sad lovestory" exprience into a fucking Doom 2016.

If so, you don't have to kill them, you just have to survive for long enough. Basically the same shit as the first Pyramid Head in the original game.
