Are you trying to separate your mic input to separate the game audio and your mic input, or do you just not want OBS to pick up your mic all the time when you don't want it to?
If it's the latter, then you can set a push-to-talk key for mic input in OBS. Mix the audio in track 1, then set the PTT key to the same key you use for PEAK.

There are multiple large board game conventions around the world every year. Gencon, Essen Spiel, Tokyo Game Market, and PAX Unplugged to name a few. It's a niche hobby for sure, but certainly not dead.

i astrally projected my brain into the future by dreaming about playing the roots biome, here's what was in my dream

You have to decrease max velocity several times for it to work, if you did that and still had issues that's odd. From what I've read and experienced, Peak is mostly peer-to-peer with Photon servers used as relays for state synchronization and to assign a new server owner if the original host leaves. So one player with a shitty connection (to the host) can pretty easily trigger a cascade of desyncs. But it does seem to have been getting worse so maybe it's the link to Photon that is to blame.
